**Tall Triangle Tool**

$12.00

Divided rectangles are so interesting to work with! You can achieve long skinny points in your piecing without reverting to paper piecing. Tall Triangles is longer and skinnier than the Recs portion of Tri-Recs; it's a 1:3 ration-- three times as tall as it is wide. (EX. 2" wide by 6" tall finished.)

To use, simply cut a strip 1/2" taller than the height of the finished triangle.

A second use of the Tall Triangles is to set blocks "wonky". Simply cut a strip the same size as the unfinished blocks and cut triangles. By opening the strip to cut you'll have blocks that all tip the same way. If you cut with the strip folded, half the blocks will tip one way, half the other. Sew the diagonal edge of the triangle to the edge of the block, centering the triangle. Continue around the block in the same manner; trim square when finished, leaving a 1/4" seam allowance.
